We seek a highly motivated Senior Quant Developer to join our Vietnam office. Grasshopper Vietnam is located in District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City.
We are especially interested in candidates who are can demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving and critical thinking. The Quant team at Grasshopper investigates a wide variety of technical and trading problems, so a keen intellect and a voracious appetite for learning are key characteristics of the successful incumbent.
The primary responsibility of the role involves end-to-end ownership of the development of quantitative signals and algorithms to assist our trading teams. Throughout the process of development, the quant will work closely with traders to develop trading strategies and be responsible for the design and development of these strategies.
After development, the quant will also be responsible for testing and deploying strategies on live markets. Once a strategy is live, the quant will also be responsible for monitoring and improving the signals or strategy.
The incumbent should at least have 3-5 years of working experience in a similar capacity. The role involves a high degree of coordination and communication with both the traders and IT team and the candidate should express desire to be involved in both sides of the company. The candidate should have experience in an analytical or mathematical field and strong coding capability, in particular python and/or C++. Experience with ML and knowledge of financial markets is a plus.
