Responsibilities

As part of the Infrastructure team, you will:

• - Provide operational support for both the trading and tech teams
• - Ability to troubleshoot and escalate application issues
• - Build/deploy tools to improve our automation and monitor stack

Skills and Knowledge Required

As a Production Support engineer, you should be able to:

• - Take initiative in investigating infrastructure/application issues on a live production system
• - Strong experience with linux
• - Deal with a global infrastructure setup with over 200 servers.
• - Have developed automation scripts to improve procedure
• - Respond to queries and issues raised by users
• - Monitor applications and infrastructure alerts, and reacting quickly
• - Take ownership and respond to open support tickets
• - Prepare/update new or current technical documentation and troubleshooting guides

 

It will be highly useful if you have prior experience in the following technologies:

• - Knowledge of configuration management tools like Puppet/Ansible
• - Familiar with monitoring tools like Nagios/Icinga
• - Knowledge of database, influxDB, mysql
• - Python/Shell scripting
• - Good knowledge of CentOS/RHEL/Fedora
• - Good knowledge of Networking
• - Good knowledge of CI tools like Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Terraform.
• - Familiar with public cloud providers like Google cloud, AWS
• - Familiar with confluence, JIRA
• - Knowledge of exchange trading protocol ITCH/OUCH/FIX
• - Good knowledge of exchange connectivity and onboarding process
• - Hands-on experience on setting up workstation with multiple screens
• - Active Directory knowledge would be a plus
